Elplast Group develops high performance zip applicator for Totani

25th January 2017: Elplast Group, which is a leading zip manufacturer, has designed and built a new applicator system for Totani pouch making machines.

The unique transverse direction zip applicator allows a combination of zip and gusset not previously achievable, offers additional options for pouch functionality and provides new opportunities for pouch styles.

 It is also very efficient, producing excellent seal quality at high operating speeds, thanks to an accurate repeat length control not achievable with other systems.

 The applicator can be used to apply a variation of Elplast EL-ZIP products, from simple single track zips, to functional triple track variants.

ELPLAST Group originated as a small, family run Polish food packer in the late 1990's. The company ventured into zip press to close manufacturing due to a frustration in the lack of quality zip products in Europe. Originally, ELPLAST aimed for self-sufficient manufacturing, however major brands appreciated the high level of quality and service, enabling the business to branch out.
