Showcasing at theEmerging Talent Nighton Tuesday 17thJanuary at Piano Works, Farringdon (www.pianoworks.bar) - recently described as the hottest live venue in London by The Express Newspaper - are three exciting and hugely talented unsigned artists who will be taking to the stage to wow the audience.

[image]Taking to the stage will beGeorge Pelham - a 22 year old singer/songwriter from London. George reached the final of Open Mic UK in 2014 and since then has played at many of London's best-known venues including Ronnie Scott's (who gave him a 4 month residency earlier this year) and has also supported Rizzle Kicks at their Thorpe Park show last summer. Also performing on the night is
Suzie Macwho has always been obsessed with soul music and from a very young age showed quite an interest with gospel and the roots of country music. Her father being a vicar encouraged her to sing before she could talk. Apart from singing in choirs in every church he preached. She was sent to Gloucester Cathedral school Kings where she sang regularly in the Cathedral services with solo's to boot!

It took a few years later until she started doing gigs and began her spellbinding mission to turn heads while she sang. She has sung at festivals such as Glastonbury, Beautiful Days, Port Eliot and Looe Music festival.

Since her arrival on he music scene she has been nicknamed ‘Aretha' Suzie due to her powerful but sweet vocals. Its no surprise due to influences such as Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Paolo Nutini, Amy Winehouse, Chaka Khan, Chris Stapleton, Donny Hatherway, Etta James, Fleetwood Mac, John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, Marvin Gaye, Paul Simon, Nina Simone that her power house vocals have developed into something quite unique.

Suzie is currently in between London and the depths of Cornwall, writing and working on her first ever album.

[image]Finally,Dan Olsenfrom the Faroe Islands who has toured in over 8 different countries to date with a UK tour set in 2017 will be showcasing his talent.

In November 2016 Dan headlined the Silk Road Ocean Festival to sell out crowds in China. On his tour he dueted with Huo Zun (Chinese number one selling artist) in Ningbo.

Dan has co-written with such luminaries as Rob Davis, (Cant get you out of my head- Kylie, ) Martin Sutton (Backstreet Boys, LeAnn Rimes, Celine Dion, Gary Barlow, Pixie Lott,) and  Tim Fraser (Tina Turner) to name just a few. In July 2016 Dan signed to Notting Hill publishing.

One of Dan's biggest achievements to date was hitting the Spotify Indie Mixtape charts at No 6 with names like Steve Aoki and Justin Bieber.

Notes to editor

  • Tuesday nights are the only nights you will find the Piano Works stepping away from their usual formula of only playing songs by audience request
