80-Year-Old Author To Visit 20 Schools In Honour Of 20th Anniversary of WBD
 Good morning,

We're working with 80-year-old author Lotte Moore to secure 20 school visits in honour of World Book Day's 20th anniversary in March 2017. In just one day we've already had bookings from six schools in Kent and two in London. World Book Day is on March 2nd but is typically celebrated throughout that week and into March.

Lotte has given her time freely for more than a decade to share her love of reading, story-telling and story-writing with children in schools around the south-east of England, and hopes that as schools look to book authors for World Book Day, they will consider inviting her to connect two very different generations through a mutual love of books. Her latest book, Lotte's War (Urbane Publications, November 2016) reached number one in the Amazon charts over Christmas and is receiving wonderful praise from teachers as a unique teaching resource for KS2 history lessons.

If you'd like to interview Lotte about her mission to speak in 20 schools for the 20th anniversary of World Book Day, receive a copy of her new book Lotte's War or any of the five newly issued children's picture books (now available in bookshops and via Amazon for £5.99 each) for review, or any other information, please get in touch: helenlewis@literallypr.com. Please also contact us if you'd like Lotte to attend your local primary school if you're in the London/Home Counties area.

[image]Lotte Moore lives in West London, she is a grandmother and has written and published more than 20 books: from children's picture books to novels, short stories, and an autobiography. Her latest book, Lotte's War, reached number one in the Amazon charts over Christmas following publication on Remembrance Day 2016! It is being incredibly well received by parents and teachers of KS2 children who are using it as a teaching resource for WW2 lessons.

Lotte Moore is full of life and adores reading to and inspiring children of all ages - always giving her time without any charge. She brings lots of fun into reading, and has a range of stories to suit each Primary School year, such as Mobile Crocodile, Saved, The Flying Granny, The Dinosaur Who Ate A Piano or The Teaspoon Family for KS1 children, and Lotte's War: Bunkers, Bombs and Barrage Balloons for KS2 children. Her presentation about WW2 can be given as a slide show for years three to six, complete with a rationing table showing children the meagre portion sizes of butter, cheese and eggs allocated each week in wartime, through to delicacies such as tapioca and spam! At previous school events, the children have been encouraged to learn a wartime song such as ‘Pack Up Your Troubles' or ‘We'll Meet Again' and sing together with Lotte, and dress up as evacuees. [image]Lotte has spoken in many schools in London and the Home Counties. Her latest six books have been released internationally by renowned publisher Urbane Publications and are now available to buy in all good bookshops as well as Amazon online.

Lotte Moore will cover her own time and expenses for trips to read in schools throughout the first two weeks of March in honour of World Book Day (2nd March 2017). All she asks is that children are given the opportunity to buy a copy of one of her books (she can bring a selection with her) at a significantly reduced price and have it signed...if they wish!
