Meatsnacks Group Ltd, the largest producer of jerky and biltong in Europe is launching in January 2017 a new Men's Health Fuel Beef Jerky that has been developed to create a great tasting jerky with improved flavour and texture.

With the assistance of Men's Health Magazine subscribers, the new recipe was developed throughout 2016 and a new pack designed to portray the natural ingredients that is used within the marinade of the jerky.

The new product is now also available in a smaller pack format of 30g. This gives the consumer a handy, snack sized pack.

The jerky uses 100% British and Irish beef silverside which is a high source of protein. The product contains no added MSG and is free from artificial colours, flavourings and preservatives and is gluten free.

The jerky has also been endorsed by Men's Health magazine for building muscle, as part of a protein rich diet and creating a healthy immune system.

James Newitt, Managing Director, Meatsnacks Group Ltd comments ‘We started our partnership with Men's Health in 2014 and we're excited about launching this re-developed product in 2017. We have invested heavily in new product development facilities in 2016 and this is the latest product to come through that process.'

Men's Health Fuel Beef Jerky is available to stock now in 30g bags and a variety of display options.

Notes to the editors

The Meatsnacks Group Ltd produces jerky and biltong which are highly popular with athletes and fitness-conscious snackers looking for an energy boost, as the products are high in protein and lower in fat than other snack products. This makes jerky and biltong a healthier snack when compared to products such as crisps, biscuits and chocolate, and hence why it's also popular as a snack at home or for those on the move and at work.

The essential difference between jerky and biltong is that the former is made from sliced, marinated meat which is then cooked and smoked, whereas biltong is made from sliced, marinated meat which is then air dried.
