Have Yourself a Merry Motown Christmas

Christmas is a time for peace, love and great, great music.

On 8^th December, at St Giles in the Fields located in the heart of London's West End, the festive season kicks off with a fabulous Motown and Soul Christmas concert.

Fronted by the talented composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Mo Pleasure, the concert is a fund-raiser for The Haven + London http://thehavenlondon.com, a social enterprise that offers pastoral care, mentoring and practical help to people working in the creative industries when they are at their most vulnerable.


While these days he is kept busy as Bette Midler's musical director, Mo Pleasure played with American funk band Earth, Wind & Fire for eight years before becoming Michael Jackson's keyboard player. His musical pedigree is impressive - classical, sacred, jazz, Brazilian as well as funk strands are all woven into his musical DNA - and, as something of a legend in the music industry, he knows a lot of people!

Among other star names joining Mo to celebrate the season of goodwill and to make great music will be award winning jazz singer Aubrey Logan who will be taking a break from her world tour with Postmodern Jukebox and flying in from LA for this very special event and Richard Hadfield, UK number one album selling vocalist, formerly of boy band Collabro - winners of Britain's Got Talent 2014. And when top London gospel and soul session singers come together as Gospel Undertones, the musical magic is complete.

If your Christmas entertainment doesn't feel right without a few festive words to really get you into the spirit of the season, relax. A host of familiar faces from film and TV will be on hand to deliver all your favourite Christmas readings.

With more star names to be announced, this is one event that will put the Soul back into Christmas.
