The launch of new hydraulic lifts from the UK's number one provider of heavy-duty vehicle-lifting solutions proved one of the highlights of this year's largest event for the coach and bus industry.

Unveiled at Eurobus 2016, they are the first hydraulic lifts to carry the TOTALKARE name and generated a huge amount of interest during the event at the NEC in Birmingham.

Offering both existing and potential customers an even broader range of options, the lifts are now available alongside the company's acclaimed electromechanical systems and popular fixed-post lifts, which were also showcased at the show.

Tim Jackson, Managing Director of the Halesowen-based firm, explained: "We are delighted at the response to the new lifts at Eurobus, and we have already received a number of orders.

"Hydraulic and electromechanical lifts are equally effective, but we know a lot of workshop managers have a personal preference for one or the other, and the fact we now offer both has been widely welcomed across the coach and bus industry."

The new lifts can be used in sets of four, six or eight with a capability of 7,500kg per column. Lifting operations can be controlled from any column, whilst the adjustable forks have been designed to fit a variety of wheel sizes from 700mm to 1,400mm.

Cable-free versions of the new lifts can be charged using an ordinary wall socket, so there's no requirement for three-phase power, and the lack of cables significantly reduces the risk of trips and falls.

Built to last, both cabled and cable-free designs feature an inverted hydraulic cylinder inside the carriage protecting the chrome piston rod, and, for extra peace of mind, like all lifts supplied by TOTALKARE, the hydraulic models can be covered by the company's AfterKare package of maintenance support.

Since changing its name from SOMERSTOTALKARE in 2015, the company has been committed to expanding its range of products and services.

Tim added: "This latest launch demonstrates this commitment to providing even more choice to the industries we serve, and Eurobus provided the ideal platform for us to showcase our ambition."
