The UK's number one provider of
heavy-duty vehicle lifting solutions is set to offer existing and potential customers an even broader range of options with the launch of the first mobile hydraulic lifts to carry the TOTALKARE name.

Unveiled at Eurobus Expo 2016 on November 1, cable-free and cabled versions of the new column lifts are now available alongside the company's acclaimed electromechanical systems, which also generated significant interest at the event in Birmingham.

Last year the company changed its name from SOMERSTOTALKARE to reflect a new direction for the company that has seen it dramatically expand its range of products and services to vehicle workshops across the country.

Tim Jackson, the Halesowen-based firm's Managing Director, explained: "Hydraulic and electromechanical lifts are equally effective, but we know a lot of workshop managers have a personal preference for one or the other.

"As we have upskilled our engineers to offer servicing, repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of lift systems from a range of manufacturers, we decided now was the right time to develop our own hydraulic offer."

The new lifts can be used in sets of four, six or eight with a capability of 7,500kg per column. Lifting operations can be controlled from any column whilst adjustable fork have been designed to fit a variety of wheel sizes from 700mm to 1,400mm.

Cable-free versions of the new lifts can be charged using an ordinary wall socket, so there's no requirement for three phase power and the lack of cables significantly reduces the risk of trips and falls.

Built to last, both cabled and cable-free designs feature an inverted hydraulic cylinder inside the carriage protecting the chrome piston rod and, for extra piece of mind, like all lifts supplied by TOTALKARE the hydraulic models can be covered by the company's AfterKare package of maintenance support.

Tim added: "The hydraulic lifts are certainly generating a lot of interest in the coach and bus sector. We are sure they will be equally well received in the many other markets we serve, including the logistics, specialist vehicle and waste and recycling sectors.
