CHRISTMAS RUSH FOR EARLY TRAIN TICKET BARGAINS.

As the dash for Christmas bargains hots up, train ticket savings can be made. Clever independent sites like Trainsplit can find savings off the walk on, "on the day" fares which are all other sites offer when the advances are sold out.

Trainsplit's customers are finding ‘split ticket' savings on 71% of journeys which provide an average additional savings of £26.00 compared to any other train booking site. Using a Railcard if possible helps, and buying a ‘split ticket' option on journeys with stops eases the Christmas price squeeze.

Big sites like the Trainline won't offer split ticket savings and nor will busy station ticket offices or platform ticket machines. With the online independents, last minute Christmas sale bargains can be found.
