Welcome to CNWL's new Divisional Director of Nursing

A new divisional director of nursing has started work at CNWL.

Jo Haworth has joined as the Diggory Divisional Director of Nursing, which includes all services in Milton Keynes, Addictions and Offender Care and Sexual Health Services.

Jo has joined from St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where she had worked in a variety of roles - latterly as divisional director of nursing and governance.

Having worked in various nursing roles across the acute sector since 1992, Jo said she was looking forward to the different challenges presented by a community and mental health trust.

"I have worked in accident and emergency and the acute setting across London over a numbers of years, but wanted to broaden my experience within the NHS.

"From what I have seen so far CNWL is very patient-centred with some really interesting innovations under way, great services and hard-working staff. I look forward to meeting more of the staff within this division.

"My aspirations in this role are to ensure that we get it right for patients first time every time and that we have a caring and compassionate workforce that is patient-centred and compassionate to each other."

Jo, who lives in Lambeth with her partner, enjoys travelling around the UK in her campervan and to countries off the beaten track.

Past destinations have included Bhutan, Bangladesh, Burma, Uganda and Sierra Leone, where she lived for a year while doing a stint with the Voluntary Services Overseas organisation.
