This is a first-of-its-kind book for all aspiring managers, those in a leadership situation already, managers in a huge corporate enterprise, entrepreneurs in one-person set-ups, small business owners, in fact, anyone with a 'team'. It helps those in a management role to consider their own position, their future career, as well as the organisation and the team's current position and future potential. Chris Day, director of Filament Publishing, commended the authors at the Institute of Directors: "The book is unique, perfect for managers to delve into, and is very thought-provoking. Collectively, the seven authors have done an amazing job."

The 99 Essential Business Questions is a must-read book that leaders will find themselves turning to time and time again, in many different situations, throughout their working life, to delve into questions such as:

  • [image]Do you want to achieve better results?

  • How do I measure success?

  • Am I a workaholic or do I just love my job?

  • Do you wish to lead and not just manage?

  • How can you anticipate problems (and solutions) before they arise?

  • Are you unsure of what action to take in a current situation?

  • Looking for a creative way out of a sticky situation?

  • Do you find yourself in boring meetings that never seem to conclude?

  • Are you working with people who just don't seem to 'get it'?

  • Do you want a new challenge?

The 99 Essential Business Questions will lead you to finding the answers that are right for you, the insights that will help you take the right decisions and act in a way that goes beyond the blatantly obvious. The book came about as a result of many conversations at the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants, a livery company of the City of London. The seven authors are seasoned management consultants with a collective experience of more than 200 years of professional practice. The book grew from their desire to capture their experiences of insightful questioning and package it in a way that is accessible and informative, helpful and practical for managers today.
