Alkali Solutions grows fleet to meet demand for Limesol

Alkali Solutions, the Derbyshire-based solution provider of lime products for the industrial effluent and sludge treatment markets, has announced the growth of the vehicle fleet to keep up with demand.

Limesol Liquid Lime, from Alkali Solutions, is a high solids lime slurry forwaste water and industrial water treatment. This includes the patented reactive additiveLimeCure which is used with calcium oxide (burnt lime) to reduce the usage of lime in wastewater treatment by up to 30%. This also reduces scaling, minimising maintenance and pumping costs and creates a slurry which re-fluidises easily.

Alkali Solutions lime products, produced withLimeCure, have been successfully launched and distributed in a variety of applications throughout the USA for a number of years. In addition, for the first time in the UK, Puresol, a DWI certified 45% liquid lime, is available for drinking water applications.

‘We are delighted to announce significantly increased demand for our products and the growth of our delivery fleet. This increases delivery capacity to an industry-leading 28.5 tonnes at a time,' commented Derek Thompson, Sales Director at Alkali Solutions.

‘Demand for Limesol has increased across all main markets and our growing number of customers enjoy a personal, tailored service that delivers the highest quality material just when they need it,' he added.

‘We work closely with our logistic partners Alabaster Bulk Haulage (ABH) and they have proven an invaluable member of the Alkali Solutions team. ABH also provide our IBC delivery and collection service, an increasingly important part of our product offering to the small volume customer,' concluded Thompson.

Limesol is a liquid lime slurry for use in industrial water and waste water treatment applications. This high strength, low viscosity product is manufactured from the patented LimeCure 50 additive which creates a reactive product reducing lime usage.
