To take advantage of global opportunities in the rapidly expanding smart device market Pervacio is strengthening its product development capabilities with the appointment of Ganesh Jayadevan as Vice President of Research and Development.

This latest addition to the mobile device automation solutions specialist's senior management team will support its growing business in 37 countries across all continents.

Pervacio's CEO, Sanjay Kanodia, said: "Ganesh has a remit to create a bigger future for Pervacio through research and development (R&D). While we currently support the top five mobile phone carriers, the top two retailers and 70 per cent of warehouses worldwide, product development is essential if we are to remain at the forefront of technical innovation."

Based at Pervacio's R&D hub in Bengaluru, India, Ganesh joins the company from Mahindra Comviva (formerly Bharti Telesoft) where he spent seven years, latterly as Chief Technology Officer. As well as more than 24 years' experience in a wide range of technologies, the product specialist has two degrees in computer science, including an MSc from Texas A&M University.

An engineer by training, Ganesh specialises in innovation, engineering and scaling and is experienced in business-oriented technology profit and loss management, incorporating business development, product management and engineering. He currently holds three patent grants from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and more are in the pipeline.

Ganesh will play a vital role, as Pervacio works to optimise its warehouse customers' process flows and places greater emphasis on identifying new efficiencies to support customers in the retail arena. He will therefore be assessing market demands and engaging with customers to deliver real innovation.

This senior appointment will help drive Pervacio's R&D programme which, in turn, will enhance the company's ability to partner with key industry stakeholders at all stages in the usage and supply chain to better manage mobile phones and handheld devices.

Pervacio's Revolution platform provides carriers, retailers, enterprises and warehouses with a unified solution to manage every type of mobile device - irrespective of network, device type, operating platform or where the device is in the usage life cycle - enabling them to deliver superior customer service while also reducing costs.
