Volpa Shortlisted in PR ‘Oscars' for second year running

Perth-based integrated communications agency Volpa has been shortlisted for two prestigious Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards.

For the second year running, Volpa is a finalist for Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy in what are generally regarded as the Oscars of the public relations industry. The agency has also been shortlisted for Integrated Campaign for its work on The Enchanted Forest's 2015 show FLUX.

The news comes just days after The Enchanted Forest was shortlisted in the Scottish Event Awards for Volpa's FLUX campaign. And it follows a triumphant year for an agency that promises its growing roster of clients cunningly good publicity. Volpa's PR portfolio includes top tourism and leisure clients such as The Famous Grouse Experience, Scone Palace, St. Andrew's Aquarium, Culture Perth and Kinross and the Crieff Hydro group of hotels. It also provides marketing, digital and design services, with clients including Horsecross, Stirling Venues and Scottish Squash.

This year has seen Volpa taking on five new members of staff, including Yomego's Steve Richards who was appointed to enhance their digital offering. The award-winning agency also celebrated its 8th year of being listed in the national Recommended Agency Register (RAR) of marketing suppliers with an impressive 14 services receiving recommendation. The Volpa team made headlines themselves recently as a result of their lead role in the PR for The Archie Foundation and Oor Wullie Bucket Trail. Volpa staff made and starred in a video calling for Tim Peake to come and visit the ‘Astro Wullie' statue in Dundee, where the ten-week public art event is taking place. The video went viral, with more than 14,000 views and counting.

Commenting on the achievements of 2016 so far, Tricia Fox, Founder and Managing director of Volpa, said:

‘'We have had yet another fantastic and busy year here at Volpa. I am thrilled to be shortlisted for a second year by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and it is a clear display of the hard work and commitment of the whole team at Volpa. This year we have welcomed several new members of staff and expanded our expertise and ability to offer a fully integrated service to our roster clients, which continues to grow."

The Volpa team will have to wait until October 13th and a black-tie event in Edinburgh to find out whether they have won.
