Turf specialists appoint new development manager in light of business growth

York turf firm WowGrass has appointed a new development manager in response to business growth.

Caroline Littler will assume the role at the Thorganby-based business following a promotion from her previous job of projects co-ordinator.

Her move into the new role reflects the growing level of responsibility she holds for developing customer relationships and assisting clients.

Ms Littler said: "I'm thrilled to be promoted this role - working for a company that is unique and innovative is so motivating and I'm proud to be part of an enthusiastic and highly regarded team.

"One of the best things about working at WowGrass isthesheer variety of enquiries that we get - it can be anything from a wedding aisle to covering the floor of an entire ballroom. There's no end to the creativity of event professionals and it's inspiring to see that every single day."

In her new role, Ms Littler will continue to provide a high level of personal service to clients, research new markets and areas of opportunity, and oversee events, marketing and social media.

She started her career with WowGrass in 2007 when parent company, Lindum Turf was asked to provide their soil-free grass for an event in Trafalgar Square. During her time at WowGrass, she has been involved with other notable projects including transforming the interior of York Minster for a charity dinner and providing a grass catwalk for Topshop's London Fashion Week show. She will continue to work closely with Roger Moore, contracts manager at WowGrass, in her new role.

WowGrass managing director, Stephen Fell said this role was a natural progression for Caroline as a dedicated staff member who is committed to developing the business.

"Caroline is an invaluable member of our team and she constantly strives to make sure our customers are happy. Her enthusiasm shines through and we look forward to seeing her develop in this role."

Wow Grass was developed by Lindum Turf as a versatile alternative flooring product that is soil-free, ideal for indoor and outdoor events, weddings, exhibitions and filming. It is a real grass that is grown onto a felt mat made from recycled British textiles eliminating the potential problem of mess from soil which arises from using traditional turf.
