CDUK offers new sponsorship for design students.

CDUK, the UK distributor of Corian®, is working with The Kitchen Education Trust (TKET) and industry employers to promote an incredible opportunity to an ambitious design student wanting to further their professional career. Employers will benefit as qualified staff add value to a business, bringing new ideas and techniques back to the workplace.

The Leeds-based firm is to sponsor a student on the part-time distance learning Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design at Bucks New University, starting in September. CDUK will sponsor one ou
tstanding candidate, paying half their fees and working with them to bring their projects and those of their employer to the notice of the industry through the media.

This award-winning course has the full backing of the industry through TKET. Employers can be assured that content is relevant, progressive and perfect for designers wishing to gain further qualifications and experience whilst working. Taught online by kitchen design experts, the course is available to students anywhere in the UK, making it accessible to all.

CDUK Managing Director Gary Baker said:

"We are passionate about raising standards in our industry and we believe our designer and fabricator customers are too. We are keen to receive applications from up and coming designers, or nominations from employers, who share our vision. TKET have worked hard with the university to get this course right, and we look forward to seeing how the successful candidate progresses."

Deadline for receipt of applications is July 31st 2016.

About The Kitchen Education Trust:
The Kitchen Education Trust (TKET) is designed to represent education in the kitchen industry and has been formed with support from Blanco, Egger, Hettich UK, Miele, Roundhouse, BSH and Blum UK.

The new trust is designed to provide the kitchen industry with "a formal platform to assist with the Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design at Buckinghamshire New University", according to the university.

TKET will 'formalise' the industry's involvement with the degree and raise the profile of the course. The trust will also be involved in fundraising for causes related to kitchen design education. The three-year course at Buckinghamshire New University is now in its second year.
