Sidhil has expanded its range of beds for acute applications with the introduction of the new ChrysalisTMbirthing beds, complete with a range of special features designed to make the delivery process safer and easier for mother, baby and clinical staff.
Equipped to manage all stages of childbirth, and configured to help women maintain more natural positions during labour and birth, the new birthing beds are designed for comfort, safety and flexibility. The beds transform easily into delivery chairs, with the foot section sliding smoothly away beneath the seat section.
ChrysalisTMbirthing beds optimise positioning for clinical staff whilst offering the most convenient delivery position for the mother, with height, back and seat section adjustments achieved via electric actuators controlled either from a central panel or a convenient hands-free foot pedal.
Integral siderails provide added safety for mother and baby, and also feature special dual-sided control panels for easy adjustment of platform height and backrest angle to allow both the mother and medical staff to set preferred labour and delivery positions. All beds include as standard adjustable hand grips, foot and knee rests, an adjustable height IV pole, side rails, removable head and foot ends and protective bumpers. An easily removable fluid bowl is located within the foot section.
Centrally locking castors help to achieve stable bed positioning, with electrically operated Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg. The interlocking back section has a CPR function and a battery backup option is also available for use In the event of a power failure.
The ChrysalisTMbirthing beds are designed to optimise infection control. Frames are manufactured from epoxy powder coated steel, resistant to UV, mechanical damage and cleaning fluids, with the seat sections covered with removable ABS plastic moulds which provide a smooth, impervious, easy clean surface. The removable mattress features a specially designed cut out section with a waterproof, vapour permeable cover.
Available in a wide range of upholstery colours, Sidhil's new birthing beds offer safe, functional, high performance solutions for all maternity ward applications.
