How to Avoid #FESTIFAIL

New product makes the loo queuing at festivals so much less a DREAD for female festival goers

  • You can't move for festivals every weekend - it's not a case of knowing which one to pick, more likewhat to packso you can avoid a festival fail.

  • Nightmare festival stories are doing the rounds as women are sharing their tales of bad toilet experiences at festivals using the hastag #FESTIFAIL.

  • Once you have bought your festival ticket you can't ‘get a sick note for the PE teacher' saying you can't come just because you've discovered it's the time of the month (TOTM) instead you can bring your new BFF - a pack of FabLittleBags so you can dispose of your used tampon with confidence every time.

  • The solution was designed by entrepreneur and mum to 2 teenage boys, Martha Silcott, 46, who finally tired of using loo roll to wrap then dispose of the used tampon. It took her 7 long years to get the patent granted for the 100% biodegradable bags and during which time she gave up her high flying job so she could really make a difference.

"I used FabLittleBag at Brighton's WildLife Festival this weekend - I was dreading going as it coincided with my period but my mum had bought a pack of FabLittleBags from Waitrose - her latest discovery - and I didn't dread those horrendous portaloos quite as much as I usually do!"! Said a happy festival goer.

FabLittle Bags are the perfect solution to a painful time of the month. The bags are discreet so there is no more doing the walk of shame with a big bulging pocket of a loo-roll-wrapped used tampon.

One festival goer's #FESTIFAIL tale:

"I tried to flush my tampon in the portaloo. It completely blocked the chemical toilet! I had to fish it out by hand and then carry it out past the queue of other festival-goers waiting for the loo. I died a hundred times over!"
