2 Thorite Senior Engineers Gain BCAS DipCAM Diplomas 

John Greenwood and Graeme Emmonds, both Senior Service Engineers at Thorite, the UK's biggest independent pneumatics products and process systems distributor, have completed the BCAS Diploma in Compressed Air Management distance learning course and successfully passed the final examination. 

BCAS (British Compressed Air Society Ltd) represents manufacturers and distributors of compressors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and allied products and runs the DipCAM course with the aim of equipping industrial managers with the knowledge to make effective decisions on a range of compressed air issues. 

The course covers a variety of useful aspects, including understanding compressed air as a fluid power medium, emphasising safe working practices and implementing energy efficient technology. The selection of products to comply with legislation and ensuring installation, use and maintenance techniques are safe, effective and conform with current industry best practices are also covered. 

John lives inBradfordand has been with Thorite for 15 years, assisting customers in the Yorkshire and Humberside areas. Graeme joined the company 8 years ago, working across the North East and hails fromSeaton Sluice in Tyne and Wear.
