Yorkshire farm machinery importer launches on-farm precision farming demos
An East Yorkshire farm machinery importer has launched an initiative to deliver on-farm precision farming demos.
Market Weighton based Manterra Ltd has invested in a fully equipped JCB 4220 to showcase Trimble's steering, control and signal solutions and is offering working demonstrations on farms throughout Yorkshire.
Of the initiative, Manterra founder, farmer and agronomist Andrew Manfield said: "In order to show farmers and growers how Trimble Precision Farming Technology can add value to their business, we are offering a working demo on their own farms. They will be able to see how the same cutting edge technology that we are using in the Tru-Nject farming solutions trial with Stockbridge Technology Centre and Cranfield University can also benefit their farms."
Demonstrations can be arranged by calling Andrew Manfield on 07944 426086.
Manterra Ltd was established by Andrew Manfield in 2011 is the sole UK importer for Unia Group and Duport spoke wheel injectors.
Manterra is the key technology supplier to the Stockbridge Technology Centre Tru-Nject project that has secured Innovate UK funding for a three year trial to commercialise innovative soil nutrient mapping technology that has the potential to revolutionise farming practices.
