Growing Yorkshire Wolds rapeseed oil business creates new position

Thixendale based Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil has strengthened its team with the appointment of a Marketing Administrator.

Skirpenbeck mother of two, Akalia Maclaurin has joined the team of eight to assist with social media, website design, new product marketing and campaign planning.

Of the appointment, Adam Palmer, owner of the farm based family business that produces award winning rapeseed oils and dressings, said: "Akalia is full of ideas, is great with words and is a keen cook - all perfect attributes for the post!

"We needed to step up our marketing to keep pace with the growth of the business and Akalia's contribution is proving invaluable."

Akalia is equally delighted with her new role: "The best thing about working for Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil is the honest, ethical approach that Adam and Jennie Palmer have to their business - this approach extends to their employees and they are very easy to work with and for. I'm looking forward to being able to help more as the role evolves."

When she's not working, Akalia makes the most of her foot of the Wolds village location and heads out for a run.
