Thorite's TV Prize Helps Turn on Funds for Brain Tumour Charity 

When Thorite, the UK's biggest independent distributor of pneumatic products and process systems, produced their 2015 Product Catalogue they included a Prize Draw for a 50" LCD TV for customers who registered to receive the new publication. 

The winner was Dave Noblett, the Maintenance Manager at Blackburn-based disposable packaging manufacturer Huhtamaki. Dave has a family member who has benefitted from the help of the Brain Tumour Research and Support charity (BTRS) and he decided to raise funds for the charity by donating the TV as the prize in a raffle open to Huhtamaki employees. 

Thorite heard of Dave's plan and helped him organise the raffle as well as providing free entry tickets and publicity material. Huhtamaki personnel went into overdrive selling tickets to their colleagues and the lucky winner was Rob Lloyd, who is Huhtamaki's Die Cutting Team Leader. 

The raffle has raised £458 which will assist BTRS in supporting the 9000 people diagnosed with a primary brain tumour in the UK each year.
